Princess Diana... visited 16 years apart...
... and yet...
... they still have crappy shower heads... no blow dryer... charge an extra 11 dollars for internet access... and don't give a second toffee on the pillow the second day of your stay...
... Things I would expect from a Holiday Inn Express experience...
... Sometimes rich people don't know what they're missing in their pursuit of acting rich...
... I've heard it's to be expected at a hotel largely used by business travellers because it's assumed you'll charge it to your company anyways...
... And PS...
... Whenever you hear that a city is famous for shopping... be prepared for it to be the exact same as every other city in the world that's 'famous for shopping'... Gucci... Prada... Armani... I think 4 different Luis Vuitton... Dolce and Gabana... Versace... a splattering of lesser knowns still selling at ridiculous... and dog treats in a cute little dog dish at the door just in case they brought along their little dog in their purse...
